band reunion....
I just wanted to post this photo quick that was taken back in late January. It was the first time in two years that my old band was together in the same place at the same time. Our schedules aren't the easiest to work around...Kyle on the far left has been living in Tennessee performing in 'The Miracle' (hence the 'beard') ever since returning from just under 2 years on the Disney Cruise Ship. Mike on the far right works security at the Webster Theatre in Hartford; a venue we played countless times!! (I can't explain his beard....we were all surprised!!) And Nick (drums) is Nick. A painter by day and studio/band drummer by night.
It was good to see them again! I love these guys!!......

i'm alive.....
Wow....its been a while since my last post and a lot has been happening. The house closing went smoothly and I've spent the last month literally re-doing a whole house! In one month we ripped out all the old carpets and flooring, prepped and painted the whole house, gutted two bathrooms replacing them with new sinks, toilets, vanities and tile floor, layed new hardwood floors in the dining room, office and landing at the top of the stairs, installed new carpeting, layed new ceramic tile in the entryway, installed chair rail in the dining room, resurfaced all the kitchen cabinets, and last but definitely not least, installed the theatre system and ran all the wires through the walls, so the 47" lcd tv is hanging on the wall with no visible wires. A dream come true!!!
I'm in the middle of compiling the before and after pictures from the house and will be posting them in the next week.
Until then, happy Spring!!

house closing....finally!!!
With the house closing this friday, I may be a little quiet here on the blog in the next week or two. As I've written before, this has been the most stressful process of my life and I am SOOO glad its over in just two days!!!
I'll post some before and after pictures once I'm in and get some work done. I've got a lot to do and I am excited to get to it. I've got a lot of plans including my new office for client consultations and a dedicated workstation. Lots going on!!!! Carpets, paint, furniture, oh my!!!!

master your craft...
Today I was up in Hartford for the full day seminar Master your Craft by Mike Colon and Bob Davis. I had never heard either speak before and was grateful for the opportunity to be there. Both are rockstar photographers and have shot many high end celebrity weddings such as Eva Longoria, Eddie Murphy, Usher, etc... It was a great environment to be in today and learn from both of these guys.
Below are some images from the camera technique part of the day and the last photo is me with both of them courtesy of CT's own rockstar Steve Depino.

seminars....

I spent this past weekend up in Boston attending a seminar by the great Mitche Graf. It was one of the most exciting seminars on marketing that I've ever been too. I couldn't take notes fast enough to keep up with all the great stuff Mitche was conveying. I met a few new people as well as saw some old friends which is always nice.
**House update** The closing on our house is in two weeks...its nice to be getting close to the end of the road....I DEFINITELY won't miss this process when its over!!!!

tv technique with tivo...
So, I've been using this technique for a while and thought I'd share it. Whenever an hour long show is on that I want to watch, I don't start watching it until 15 minutes have passed. This way once I do start watching it through TiVo, I can fast forward through the commercials and by the time the show is ending I'm just catching up to it in realtime and it ends right on time. So I gain 15 minutes of extra free time before the show starts and I end up catching up with the show and ending it exactly at the top of the hour.
Try it out...let me know what you do with your extra 15 minutes!!!
