golf...

So I finally managed to get out and 'hit the links' this past week. My golf swing is definitely not what it was at the end of the season last year, but it'll get back there. I was at the driving range for about an hour and a half, and hit about two buckets. The first bucket was absolutely abominable...however by the end of the second bucket, I was really launching some beauties!! There is nothing like getting all of one and sending it sailing over 200 yards. What a feeling-if you've never tried it you've got to get out there. Definitely not as easy as it looks to hit that little golf ball.

And on a more business-related note, all that new gear I was waiting for finally came in!! I couldn't be happier and more excited. Its like Christmas morning over here at Oceanview HQ!
And now not on a business-related note, the NFL draft is tomorrow. One of the most exciting days of the year for any football fan. I'm anxious to see who my Jets pick tomorrow. Hopefully they won't disappoint.

Recommendation of the week:
NFL Draft - Saturday and Sunday 12 p.m. ESPN

b'day pics...

I thought I'd post some pics from my nephews 1st birthday party. The kids were awesome and I had a great time. They keep you on your toes and are extremely spontaneous!!!

I've got quite a few consultations this week as things keep rolling along towards the busy season. The engagement sessions are starting to book up as well and I'll have some pics to share soon.

Got a couple of new pieces of gear on the way, so I'm like a little kid checking the mail everyday and hoping today is the day UPS shows up....still waiting though; the suspense is killing me.

Speaking of killing me the yankees just lost to the red sox tonight after blowing a 6-2 lead in the bottom of the 8th. Just sickening. A-rod hit two more homers though so there is some good news...tomorrows another day...Sleep tight y'all...

news and updates...

Things here at Oceanview HQ have been quite busy over the past few months to say the least. I booked a rather large amount of weddings for this year and continue to meet with people weekly. I thank you all for the referrals that you have passed along to me. It means a great deal to know that you admire my work and trust me that much with your wedding day.
There will be a couple of changes happening over the next few months here, most notably the new Oceanview website. The launch date for the site is currently October 1st. However, hopefully I'll be able to move that up a month or two; we'll see what happens.
I'm very excited about the prospect of a new website. It will have all new gallery pages, a direct link to the blog, an extensive FAQ page and a ton more.
There will also be a price increase that will go into effect to coincide with the new website launch. Any inquiries or consultations on or before the launch will be honored at the current prices. Any dates booked after will incur the new rates. I'll keep everyone posted on the new site status here on the blog.

I get to shoot my nephew's 1st birthday party tomorrow. Kids are always great subjects and they make for some very spontaneous moments. I'll post some images after this weekends party.

Recommendation of the week:
Rosemount Estates south eastern australian red wine-Cabernet Sauvignon or for the heavyweights out there, their Merlot is astounding.

happy april...

happy april, happy spring...now if it'll just stop raining...
got quite a few engagement sessions this month to kick off the season. I'm looking forward to these and will post some images up shortly.

Went up to Bradley airport the other night to pick up my in-laws and was amazed at how fast an airport goes from a ghost town to a bustling metropolis in thirty seconds flat. Their flight came in at 10:00 p.m. and when we arrived at 9:30 there wasn't a soul to be found...come ten o'clock however, it was a mad house; people, limousines, suitcases, cell phones ringing, yelling, security, the works. It was quite an experience; however at $7.25 to park for an hour I felt a little ripped off.

There's a lot of new and exciting stuff to report which I'll post about this weekend. Check back for all the latest. And, here's to no more rain!!
